Sorry to disappoint you, but I think that they have let the teaboy edit the magazine again!

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Stone the crows! Where can I get one of those mammas?!

(Having said that, as I have a 100bhp inline 4, I have fantasised about getting that engine into the Alp. I think I might die with pleasure if it happened!)

I did notice that. When we got the proofs through I pointed it out, but as the man in charge quite rightly said, were not here to edit it, were here to print it. Still, would be one hell of a quick trailie...

For everyday commuting and runaround stuff I found the power output fine to be honest. There was no point in revving past 5,000 though because thats when the power stopped and the restriction kicked in proper. Which did make overtaking a bit more difficult, it has to be said. Before I had to really look ahed to make sure I had plenty of time, because once I reached the point it stopped maing power, the bike had run out of guts and I just had to keep going past at the speed it could manage. After having the restrictor out I noticed a huge improvement when overtaking (gunnit' past guv').

Basically, the differences in most instances are negliagable (accelleration etc. only seemed slightly better afterwards, and who knows, even that may have been my demented imagination). As far as restricted 33bhp bikes go, the Transalp is a good one

Thinking of upgrading to one then?

I had a baby vara too, passed my DAS back in April and hopped onto TA. After touring Ireland on it, I am confident I made the right choice

    Good luck with the test
