    Re: Transalp Seat

Hi guys not made many posts here as I found most of what I needed to know on the forums, however.... The transalp seat is the most umcortable thing I have ever sat on. I am limited to 1.5 hours max before I have to get off and walk around to get the circulation in my legs going again.

I have three seats, the lowered kit from david Silva and two that came with the bike, one allegedly a gel seat that is not. None of them are any good even with a sheepskin. Has any one else found this a problem at all. I would hate to get rid of a perfectly good machine because it was uncomfortable but I am running out of options. Has any one had a custom seat made for them and was it expensive?

the best seat I ever had was from an old GSX 850 which I hammered into shape to fit my 400 four but these modern jobbies dont take kindly to some fettling with big hammers!!

I am of the opinion that the seating position is as important as the seat itself.

However, I am just back after a 9 day trip in Yurrup and I know that without my Airhawk, i would have really struggled to do the milage. One day (a mistake in my calculation of average MPH likely to be covered!) I did 10hrs, some in temps hitting 40C. It was tough, but a shower and some food and I was OK, arse not bad at all!! A standard TA seat would have had me in tears

However, I do have a wee wander around every cuppla hrs as a matter of course.
