Talking Front end wobble

I am a newbie here, been floating for about three years on and off.
Had the 53 TA for nearly 3 years now (also have a GS12) and have put 18k on her 21k. Done France, Germany, Austria, Switz and Italy all in one trip and since been too Ireland, Scotland and France again.
The reason for my post is: there has always been a wobble at the front end (when you let go of the handle bars while stretching etc) since I have owned the TA and it has never failed an MOT, its all tight upfront. The wobble doesn't bother me at all. But if I sell it, the prospective buyer may run a mile me thinks. Is there something I am missing or do I need to put a heavier oil in the front forks? or is it a trait of the TA?
Any info would be helpful.

I think the problem is it comes as standard fitted with FFE - Feeble Front End !! I notice with mine if i turn the bars when its parked on the sidetand the forks feel what i can only describe as to be "flexing"

If i do same with my GSX1400, Trident 900 or my Guzzis they all feel solid as a rock in comparison !

Re: Front end wobble

Check your rear suspension settings it probably needs turning up a notch or two, have you got a top box fitted, this makes a huge difference to the front end stability, it doesn't have to have anything in it to cause a difference.
With added weight ie Pillion and luggage you need to stiffen up the rear even more.
Try this and check on a quiet road to see if there is a difference if your wobble stays you have to start to look deeper.

Re: Front end wobble

Cheers for the advice guys.
Using tourances, the suspension at the rear has been tweaked and adjusted (not sure if you can call that screw an adjustment tho) I do have a Givi topbox fitted mind so will try it with it off.
As I said if its normal I can live with it (well I have done 18k since I got it so have been living with it) Its just when I come to sell it on soon, I was only thinking of the new owner. I will show them this post and the thread that Yeti posted to comfort them.
Yes Phil still commuting, and I am thinking of getting a GS1100 as my commuter as my brother now has a girlfriend and needs the extra omph up them mountain passes.
Cheers once again
Phil going wild camping July 18th if your free.

Re: Front end wobble

Hi there, my @T's did the same but intermittently! By that I mean when the tyres were new and balanced the front was fine, you could let go the bars, but a few thousand miles and the front would go into a scary tremble if you let the bars go, I never found out, but I reckoned it would go into a full tank slapper if you let it?
Worst for it I found was the Trail wing Bridgestone, my new Vara seems to be doing the same at 3000 miles!

Re: Front end wobble

Now being a re born TA rider goin down the M way today did notice bars havin a bit of a wobble, wondered if it was caused by the rubber bushy things under the handlebars, but it felt like it was running straight enough
