    Shackle / U-lock

Hi all...New to the site.. it looks great

    I have a Honda Transalp 650 (2002)
Just wondering what make, size of Shackle U-lock will fit under the seat
A good quality if possable. ?

I have an Almax chain for home use but its to heavy to be carrying around
So i pressume a shackle lock is the next best for short stops in the city

I also have an immobiliser and alarm

    Thanks in advancec

Honda make a lock to fit there. Sadly it uses the barrel lock key which can be opened with some stiff card and a paperclip if the YouTube videos are to be believed.

I have an Abus Granite Extreme 59 which I keep in my topbox - never tried it in the space under the seat - my guess is that it won't fit.

Why not use a disc lock, you are preventing the opportunists getting their hands on your machine.

I have also read on another forum about altering your side or centre stand to lock, I think that has something

Was thinking of one but it could still be lifted with a disk lock
But with a shackle lock you can attach it to something

Maybe i should go with both
