    Fenda Extenda

Okay ,after a couple long wet rides i'am convinct of the fact that i need a longer front fender for my XL700VA.
Found some older posts on this ,so a few questions for those who did buy and place the extenda by Pyramid Plastics.

Any problems with placing the extention on the fender?.

Do you have to remove the fender to do the job?

I noticed that several of you have them for a while ,so any pro's/contra's after longer use?.

    Thanks

Very easy to fit. Tust take your time and get things lined up before removing the protective strip on the adhesive tape. I'd also recommend thoroughly cleaning up the inside of that bit of the mudguard (with water and then a degreasant) to ensure that the tape stays well stuck in place. I installed mine with the mudguard and the wheel both in situ - it makes checking it's on straight much easier and more accurate. I used a fine tipped spirit based marker pen to mark out where the screws would go (double checking!) before drilling pilot holes with a Dremel type drill - just stop before you get to the tyre! I also used a slighly smaller drill size just to make sure the screws "bit" that little bit more securely.

The only thing is to take care lining up the Extenda before pressing on the adhesive tape - because it goes grip pretty well.

In use I've had absolutely no issues whatever - it does extend the mudguard by quite a few inches and does make a good difference to the general cleanliness of the front of the bike.
