Just Testing The Water....

I have not put this in the For Sale/Wanted forum as it is NOT yet for sale. I'm just testing the water at the moment to see if there is any interest and also to see if I can get what I want for it.

The bike is a 2007 XL650V in Carnelian Red, on a 57 plate. It has 10,250 miles on the clock at the moment and a full service history at Honda of Bournemouth, and is taxed until 31st October. The bike has the following extras:

Honda Centre Stand
Honda Pannier Rails
Honda Colour Matched Panniers with Inner Bags
Honda Top Box Mount
Honda Colour Matched Top Box
Rugged Roads Chain Guard (Still have the original, which will go with the bike if I sell it)
Touratech Headlight Grill
Scottoiler
HID Kit (Proffesionally Installed)
Powerbronze Tall Screen (Still have the original, which will go with the bike if I sell it)
Honda Handlebar Brace

CONTINUED IN NEXT POST...

Re: Just Testing The Water....

The only damage is the rear pannier (exhaust side), and a few scratches from my boot on the footpeg hangers both sides.

So....with all that in mind, would there be any interest in it if I did put it up for sale. Is it worth me taking off all the extras apart from the Scottoiler and just selling it as standard and then selling all the extras seperatly? All I know is that a dealer offered me £3200 as a standard bike with just a scottoiler.

All advice is most welcome .

Actually I did, using the method I got from you. They where attatched to the crashbars, which I had to get rid of about a week after fitting the lights, so I had nowhere to mount them to. I still have them, and if I don't sell the 'Alp will find some way of refitting them (or buy some new crashbars).

Re: Just Testing The Water....

If you sell it without the extras you would get more money.
Put The bike up for £3300 on ebay and sell the panniers for £200.
You stand a better chance of £3500 whereas the bike complete may not get that.

Cheers for the offer, but I managed to salvage the ones I had on the crashbars before I sold them
