XL600 V Rear Mudguard Brace

Having complety stripped the bike am now in process of rebuild however cant for the life of me remember how the Rear Mudguard Brace fixes to the frame....complete mind blank - anyone got any pics ? ( its not in the Haines manual ) any help appreciatted... Cheers all

I've got a diagram in another manual (not Haynes) I'm trying to take a decent picture of it for you but struggling

Just finished rebuilding an 87 alp myself and got stuck on this very same thing. Reckon I spent a good couple of hours trying to work it out!
