    Smile Transalp Tax Disk

    Hi,
This may be a dumb question but where do you all put your tax disk holder?
Mine was on the rear chain guard but gets covered in grime and water and I can't see where else it can go where it is secure?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Ditto, Front fork area, wrap the disc in cling film first to give it waterproofing in case some water gets in!

got mine bolted on near the rear footpeg hanger, seems far enough away from the chain to avoid muck.

Mines on rear chain guard, gets nice and mucky just the way it should be, so far holder has stayed water tight but I like the idea of laminating it especially if I'm doing the water trough with BT and co. next Sunday. If the dear old traffic wardens want to check its in date they'll have to get their little pinkies dirty wiping away the grime

by law its supposed to be in front of the rider on the left, thats why most new bikes come with it on the brake caliper or hugger bolt. ive never heard of anyone being penalised for not having it there though, as long as your displaying it somewhere.
unlike the 50% of us (according to the retards at the dvla) who dont bother taxing our bikes at all......

    Re: Transalp Tax Disk

Mine was fixed by the chainguard bolt, until I realized I could also fix it to the pannier rail which has a very convnenient redundant threaded screw hole. It stays a little cleaner there and doesn't get shaken about by the wheel in the same way...

I have mine in the same place.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
