    Coolant leak

Rebuils is reahing its final stages.... flushed and cleaned rads and pipes then refitted and filled however I have noticed a leak from a chrome pipe that comes from the lower part of the cyclinder. It has a u type bracket with one bolt attaching it to the engine. Is there a seal inside that may need replacing ?

    thanks

    steve

Probably an O-ring seal either old/misaligned or pinched..It's a common problem with most coolant to engine pipe fittings

Think Kymmy is spot on, when I re built mine the O rings where fairly knackered, replaced them and had no problem with any leaks when it was all put back together. Yes very easy to fit. I put a bit of Vaseline on them (that I happened to have laying around!!!!). It may also help if you immerse them in some hot water 1st to make them a bit more pliable.
