Neutral light

Ok... following rebuild its all going back together really well and started first time !

However.... the neutral light stays on when I engage a gear ... any ideas anyone ?

Did you go into the gearbox during your rebuild?

check your lead to the neutral switch. They sometimes get pinched and earth!

I'm not sure what bike you have but on my '94 600 the neutral switch wire is red/green coming out of the engine with the oil pressure switch lead. It does sound as if you've shorted it somewhere.

i've got exactly the same problem (on my Transalp XL600V 1999) which started a couple of days ago - did you get it sorted, and if so could you let me know what it was in the end?
