    Looking for CHeap Handguards

Hiya, as it says i'm looking for cheap handguards - like for a tenner!! Have tried ebay but they only have acerbis ones for like €1,000,000,000 each so any suggestions for any other internet place or shop i might be able to get them? Thanks, TB

Depends what you want them for. For serious off-roading you need an ally strip with some plastic to protect the levers and your hands respectively.

For just weather protection a second hand set would do maybe? They do tend to degrade and get brittle when they get very old though. If you're a bit handy you can add a bit of ally to standard style open brush guards.

    Good luck.

    Acerbis are very desireable though.....

Never looked at the difference in the guards from a Dero to TA

but I have a set collecting dust off my Dero that will cost you............... a subscription
that way you can ask and sell and buy and have PM and look at the secret forums just for subscribers

I'll get them in post and if DatsunFan reads this ashamed as I am I still have your safe and sound and waiting to go to the postie

They're just for wind protection - not planning any off roading just yet!

Snaphappy - if they're black you're on. Let me know. And thanks,

Likewise, I fitted a set of Barkbusters to my TA700, so I have the original Honda guards kicking round the garage - you can have them if you want . They're good for wind protection, although obviously not the full wrap-around jobbies.
Transalp 700, heated grips, SW Motech crash bars, Barkbusters, centre stand, short@rse seat, Vario screen, Givi E21s, CR85 folding gear lever, Trax top box.

The beatings will continue until morale improves...

OK Guys Read these rules about site subscriptions.

You are not allowed to post items wanted unless you are a subscribed member. Snaphappy hinted at it. Any more and the post will be removed by the nasty moderator.

    Re: Looking for CHeap Handguards

Just playing devils advocate here, if someone is asking for suggestions as to where to go or where to look for certain items, like handguards for example, and not actually asking if anyone on the forum has some to offer or some for sale, are they actually doing a wanted post or asking for advice in relation to their search for parts for a specific bike.
ie,if they post in the transalp forum for a good place to look for cheap effective handguards and does anyone know of a site that does cheap secondhand or any breakers that potentially may have or may in future have some or where did other members get their's when they changed them or had to replace one, is it a direct WANTED post or an information needed relative to certain places or sites for parts thread?
I saw these just for instance http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...E:B:SS:GB:1123

I'm going out now so will prepare myself mentally for the telling off or wrist slapping when I get back later. But posted genuinely as might clear it up for others in the future as to their posting.
