I put a piper cross filter on mine with no changes, it removed the flat spot but did nothing else.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Re: K&N Air filter

I put a K&N on mine at 8,000 miles and its been on there for the next 60,000miles. No problems. I have also removed the catalyst, rejetted (smaller 125 jets) and run a GP (brand) silencer. Each of which should make make the bike run leaner, but it runs fine and plugs come out looking like there is a good mixture. On my experience then you probably don't need to do anything as TAs are notorious for running on the rich side, but you should judge for it yourself and if in doubt get it checked at a dyno or a bike shop.
