    Potentially dumb question about lights

    Hi All

I'm taking the 700 to Germany next week and remember reading in the forum somewhere that the 700 has a directional beam.

Does this mean potentially I will need one of those duff plastic beam redirectors ? There seem to be no guidelines on the lense to show where they would go.

    Thanks in advance

When you park up look at the light pattern on a wall. If it kicks up on the near-side then you will need an adaptor. I have some somewhere as I thought I might need them on my 650 but I didn't.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

There's actually a little arrow etched into the lens of the light (along with the "e" approval mark and a couple of other numbers) which tells you which way the dipped beam throws - in theory, but the best way is to point it at a wall and see if there's going to be a problem.

The beam shape appears to be made at the reflector, hence no pattern on the lense. I guess it will be a case of trial and error to get it right.

My Seat leon has plain headlight leneses with no marks on em, the instruction book has instructions of what size patches to use on the lights and where to apply them
