Well if you get a buy one get one free deal then the Nightbreakers might see you through winter... and they were good... but...
Just keep the OEM bulbs handy...

I think I can mount fog light down low on one of the exhaust bolts, but possible melting issues and I've forgotten to check what bolts are available on the other side...

    Re: 08 Transalp lights

Well I ordered a pair of H11 night breakers, they arrived today and were duly fitted to the bike.

The difficulty now is trying to see the difference because I have been riding with them tonight. I think we just always want more more more more more....... The main beam seems superb but dipped has the usual 'lane' problem when you have an approaching car or one in front - you just end up guessing what is between the last bit of your dipped beam and the start of the other vehicles beam!!!!!!! (or is that just me)

A mate is visiting next week with a TA 700 and standard bulbs so I shall make a point of standing the bikes side by side and photographing the difference in beam quality (if for no other reason than to convince myself).

One difficulty with fitting the feckers is the knuckle scraping hand contorsions that are required tojiggle them in and out of their holes. during the process it would be alll to easy to put oil or fingerprints somewhere on the bulb causing it to blow prematurely so I kept surgical spirit and a tisue to hand and wiped the bulbs all the same. Not withsatnding Nareef's comments, lets see how long they last (I have the originals well packaged under the seat just in case

I had difficulty with the bulbs on the 650, and it was even worse on the Vauxhall Vectra.
One bulb required seven plasters for the cuts to fingers and knuckles.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

I hope you don't get practice changing them back I think I got a bit of practice swapping the bulbs about when they blew.

I liked the clarity of light the night breakers gave, I found they lit up the verge better than the OEM bulb.

    Update:

First one blew the other night, thanks to the advice on here I kept the OEM bulbs under the seat for spares

As expected it was the main beam to blow. So thats about 3 months of use over maybe 4,500 miles.

D'Oh... Oh well, I had hoped that the quality might have improved for you and they'd last longer.

Might be worth checking to see if they have any kind of warranty, I know that PIAA are supposed to have a warranty but given the cost of the PIAA H11 XTREME WHITE PLUS bulbs they had better be!

I seem to recall some cheap aftermarked HID kits on eBay somewhere, that's got to be worth a blast surely.
