TransAlp/Tenere test in TBM mag this month

not had a chance to read it yet but the two bikes are ridden off road in the Pyrenees(HUMM i think) good pics and TBM always do "proper" tests on traillies.

Would you expand "TBM" for us illiterate Yanks.

I'd like to see if I can find it on this side of the Atlantic.

    Thanks

It's actually a pretty good review - gives a good sense of the strengths and weaknesses of both bikes, concludes that in an ideal world you'd have the Alp's engine in the Tenere's frame, but the writer (Barni) finally comes to the conclusion that the Transalp excites him more than the Tenere - which is a fair enough opinion!

Probably one of the best reviews of the bikes I've seen side by side. At least they're not comparing the Tenere or Alp with a 1200GS Panzer costing twice the cash as some have recently !

TBM's an excellent mag but it looks like its struggling through the recession as they've dropped some regular feature writers - worth the subscrition if you can afford it to keep them going.

Decent review with writing as much about the ride experience as the bikes review which is refreshingly different.

Might subscribe to this, never noticed the mag before, like the compact size too.

Would be good to have the Panzer F800 included or compared too, maybe the F650 but i dont rate it at all for road use.
TA700 2010 - Givi full set, Centre Stand, Scotoiller with LubeTube, Honda Tall Screen, Givi Crashbars, OEM Heated Grips, Fenda Extenda, Bar Risers, SSteel Spokes, Arrow Race-Tech DarkLine Exhaust, even bigger smile!!

TLD 2010 - 600 miles, 18 hours travelling, 4 hours sleep and no pint of guinness!! Must go back for that....
