    swing arm replacement

    Hello Folks,

    Will a xl650 swing arm fit a xl600vr?. Oh, can you weld swing arms? ( thou I think its gone past welding!)?

    dont know if the 650 will fit. . . but the 600 s/arm is steel, so yes it will weld.

    There's plenty of 600's being broken on fleabay,the 600 and the 650 have a different linkage so it might be a bit tricky,I'm not sure about dimensions etc,people have fitted @ one's with some mods. you should be able to pick one up cheap-ish.
    I wouldn't weld it,depending on where the weld is the arm is under quite a lot of stress and a fractured weld at the wrong time might be the difference between staying on the bike or not especially on a bend. Could be a life or death thing.

    Swingarm from RD03s fit but you need other bits from the @ to get it to work. On the plus side the conversion allows you to have a sensible system of chain tightening
