I want to take the TA off-road. Obviously the indicators will break at the first drop, so I've removed them, but now I have no indicators (). I spotted some for a VFR 400 on ebay (here) which should be great at not breaking when the bike topples, but the seller says they're 10W, not 21W.
Will 10W confuse the flasher relay? Could I put 21W bulbs in the indicators even though they're only 10W currently? I know resistors is an option, but I don't want to do that because it's inefficient and not a very good way of doing things IMO.
Alternatively I was considering dumping the stock indicators and getting some pointed LED jobbies, using the current front indicator position for DRL's by replacing the stock amber plastic bits with clear ones (I have seen these, so I know they exist... somewhere). In this case, what would I need to do about the relay and does anyone have any recommendations?
