    Headlamp advice adjustment

    Hi everyone,
well I've just uprated my headlight bulb (just managing to change it without a big bodywork removal workout)
My problem is my main beam is a little low and my full master blaster is too high! I know the nuts to turn (that's not the issue) but the manual doesn't mention anything of note.
The last MoT I had done on my ill fated XT-Z had me cough up for a tweak on one side (I may have to swap my new bulb back at that point anyway )so there is some guidance, somewhere.....
    Hints, comments and advice welcome.

    Re: Headlamp advice adjustment

I have found the best way to check / adjust the beam on a motorcycle is ..........

    1. get a mate
    2. select a bit of level ground about 10 feet from a smooth surfaced wall and sit bike facing the wall at 90 degrees - exactly !!!
    3. get a broom handle or simmilar
    4. sit on bike and switch on the lights and put on main beam
    5. get mate to place broom handle (one end touching the floor) up against the headlight
    6. put a mark on the broom handle at the centre of the headlight (bulb)
    7. get mate take the broom handle over to the wall and ensure brightest spot on the wall is still where the mark on the broom handle is (on main beam)
8.Adjust as required (full beam should be straight and level with your weight on the bike)
    9. make sure dip beam lowers to the left from that point .
    10. Make mate tea and bickies.

    Job done.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!
