Mine was handed to me by the suppling dealer together with the bike keys and a second wallet that contained some other information about the bike... I'm guessing if you have the Manual you may alos have the so called wallet...

What colour bike did you opt for ?

I chose the blue/white/gold rims model which was in stock at my chosen dealer. But I didn't choose them only because they had that colour in stock, there were other reasons.

My second choice had that been unavailable would have been the black. Another dealer I spoke to said that the blue/white versions were unobtainable for months. I don't know if that's true or really they were just trying to get me to buy the red one they did have in stock. I guess it's natural for a dealer to try and shift their stock models first.

In fact, I wasn't really too concerned about the colour and would probably have bought one whatever colour was available. All of the colours look quite decent to me, even the yellow

The black document bag is exactly as you describe, now that I have got one from the dealer which they had failed to supply originally. What I got with the bike at the time of delivery was a white plastic envelope containing the owner's manual and the service book plus a spare key.

For goodnes sake ABC whatever you do dont call it 'yellow' its 'Barley Yellow Mettalic'. Some owners are right particular 'bout things like that. Ive got a red one, TA that is. Dave.

In that case Dave you haven't really got a red one, it's actually "Carnelian Red Metallic".

On my bike's colours I could have done without the gold rims, I think they look a bit tacky, unnatural somehow, a little pimpish. Also, on all the Alps I don't really like those naff co-ordinates printed on the tank. Would look better without in my opinion.

Don't worry, if what a lot of people are finding happens to your bike the 'Naff co-ordinates' won't be there for long! The decals aparently peel off. Mine were in slightly different positions either side with one side so far forward the front of the decals was sticking out a bit. I could see that water etc would get in and start to peel them so I cut them back and they seem fine for now. Check yours at the front and maybe you can sort them before it's too late. (if they need it)
