new anakee2 and tourance exp ?

    hi all.
not really a "what tyre next question" just has any one swapped over from the old style anakke to the new [2] generation or visvesa tourance to [exp].

if so are they worth the extra money? do they feel better or worse,
back tourance needs replacing before the really bad winter weather hits so just checking out your views.

and are the "thorn proof innertubes " of any use and what draw back do they have?

At present the new Anakee 2's are not made in the sizes required for any of the Transalps.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

As far as i know they dont do the "new" tourance anymore as it turned out to be S##t.
I tried them and they where nowhere as good as the old ones. Also i only manged 8k miles out of the rear compare to the 12k on the old ones.
Dont know anything about the Anakees
They call him "Ze Quiet one"

    cheers all,
looks like I`ll stick with the old 140 profile tourance then can`t dispute their allround ability, I aint no speed merchant as i`ve no wish to see angels fly especially in the wet. My old rear end slide out days are long gone best for the "proddy racing yamaha lc`s days" when I had more adrenaline less brains

I looked for the "new" tourance in the summer for the Alp , but the Honda dealler suggested the "old" model as the new one had bad reports from the few they had fitted. I got the same story from a couple of independants

I think that is what has happened with a few of the tire makes the new compounds do not match up to the old in wear and handling.

You are now in the position to test the theory about the two types of tire.
You should be able to feel the difference of the two and the wear rates.
