    Extra Lighting

    Hi Guys,
Ive just been on ebay and ordered some of these:

LED Electropods lights RED *motorbike lighting* Item # 1041901

And of 10 minutes ago they still had a few more left, at £5.60 posted, how can you go wrong.

I'm thinking of some bizevis bullets for the front, but wanted feedback on going for white or blue. I think the blue will stand out more in daylight, and as I've already upgraded my bulb I don't want to waste £15 (am I that likely to be pulled by our boys in blue for tying to be seen than pimping down Exmouth sea front on a TA!)
I had some foglights on my old GS650 white had built in led runners but my budget isn't what it was they were good, but more of a hassle and drain to fit and fun.

    any thoughts

I got the white, they show up quite well with the HID headlight.

I have fitted the white bullets to my TA. Its the front rather than your rear you want the extra lights. The bullets are very low wattage and I wired mine into the parking light (very easy). Blue or white it dont matter as long as the cagers see you. I was amazed how bright they are, even in daylight. These lights are made by bikers too, another plus point. Dave.

Well I've just ordered some white bullets, so the parking light is easy to splice into then (that's one bit sorted) next Q is where did you 2 (or others out there) locate them?
I had considered the faux air scoops below and outside of the headlamp, comments and ideas welcome.

After a lot of trial and error, I fitted mine to the inside of the fairing level with the indicators.

Glad to see that you went for the white ones, as otherwise you are likely to be pulled by the boys in blue, due to constuction and use regulations which state that you can only display either white or yellow lights at the front of your vehicle.

It's not always picked up on mainly due to most police can't be bothered to have to complete the paperwork for a minor offence like that, although some will pull you just to tell you to switch them off and not use them again, and not actually do you for it. Although sooner or later you would bump into the same officer again, and if you still have the lights on, then they will probably do you for it then...

Thanks for that you two, I guess I'd always have it in the back of my mind when I was following one of our boys (or girls) in blue.

Stumpyfingers, I don't suppose you have a picture of your bullets insitu?
I'll have a look and think as I install my new rear pods this w'end, I have decided even if the rear ones are a bit crap I can still salvage the natty little switch they came with!

    Re: Extra Lighting

Those cheap rear led's are now fitted (screwed onto my givi topbox base plate) and work suprisingly well.

I'm not electronically minded, so any more info on wiring into the parking light would be appreciated (the rears wired straight into the batt)

I've had a little look at the heated grips put onto by the previous owner and they are wired straight into the fuse box and earthed at the handlebar retaining bolt, info/ guidance, as ever much apprecated.
(doesn't appear to be any room left to do a similar bodge)
