    XL 650 Transalp Fairing

Does anyone know if Africa Twin fairings fit on to a 2001 Transalp.

I have bought a Transalp but it strangely (but nicely) has an Africa Twin paint job.

I'm not to sure if the guy has had his bike sprayed or if the fairings have been changed...

    Thanks

    David

There was a member on here that had an Africa Twin like paint job done on his TA because it was an ex-police bike and therefore plain white.

Do you know your bike's history?

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    hi ,
show us some pics as my fairing is all beaten up and held together with filler and tape not that bothers me but must get round to a new paint job soon.

I know the yanks on the other side of the pond do a lot of cross conversions what they dont have they make.

Wow I think that the bike you are taking about is the one I have recently just bought...

It's an ex-police bike so it's more than likely the one you are talking about...

I'm gonna put some pictures up now if i can figure out how :s

    Thanks

The bike I had in mind is shown in this thread -

    Re-vamped Police Transalp

Username of "Davy P" - from Bangor, apparently.

That is a nice looking colour scheme.
It is a shame it is after market.

If you are having trouble posting pictures, have a look at this FAQ -

Honda Trail Bike Forums - FAQ

    It should get you sorted.

Edit: Nice bike by the way. Thought "Davy P" hadn't been on here for a while. Oh, and you might want to obscure your number plate on Flickr - you never know who's looking.
