I use Castrol GPS 10W-40 and have done for over 220,000 Honda V-twin miles (spread over 3 bikes).

The only thing is, engine oil is starting to get as expensive as petrol nowadays.

    Re: engine oil

Not had any clutch slip with the Shell Advance VSX4 10w-40 semi-synth that I use in my '04 Transalp. Good stuff.

And a new filter always helps.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Never had a clutch slip on a bike yet, only ever used bike specific oil though.

    Re: engine oil

I use Castrol GPS Semi sinthetic oil as purchased fron OPIE Oils and do not have a problem.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

I am using Guardian Rock Oil 10W40 semi synthetic with a K&N oil filter.
Oil supplied from www.wemoto .com & the filter was bought on e-bay.
