Toolkit Location? Stupid Question No 2?

    Hi, all!

Idle curiosity and very probably is a stupid question, but if an XL400V 'Alp still had its original toolkit after several years & owners, where would it normally be stored/hidden?

Found a small empty cavity at the top-rear of left-hand side cover, but nowt in there. Honda used to tuck the kits under seats, but this 'un's bolted down, so that's a no-no...

    Ideas, please?

if its the same as the 600.. its a wee box on the left and the loop thatthe key opens is also where you can lock the d ring of our helmet.. if you want to leave it with the bike.. its a very smal tool box ( it's a HONDA )..

Ve-e-e-e-r-y interestink.........but not on zis heapa-da-Honda, by the looks of things; just a pop-in sidecover (studs front & rear) and a 6mm screw underneath to hold it on, but no keyhole or d-ring.

    I'll have another search...

Can't remember seeing anything like that on my 400, but I'll take a closer squint at the weekend - just got it into my garage for the first time since I bought it, and now I can't get at that side to see....

    Roll on, the weekend...
