    Re: T/A 650 main stand

The way i did it was fit both springs to the bike, then attach them to the stand. Then with some assistance from a second pair of hands fit the bolt thru from the offside of the bike (back thru towards the springs) This is very easy, now for the hard part, using the bolt as a lever point take hold of the centre stand n/s leg and push it back to align the bolt with the hole and using a rubber mallet hammer it thru into place. 5 mins tops.

I did exactly the same as Delboy 777.
Slight difference though, I don't know where the small spring should be fitted to though. Can someone tell me?
Is it the same points as the large spring, because what would be the point of the small spring then

those manuals are sometimes very poorly translated ... The small spring have to be placed inside the large one.

The small spring was inside the large spring originally and it still is.
But, like an idiot, when I took the stand off, I forgot to note where the small spring clipped on.

This topic continues to provide interest and mental stimulation!!
Now, does anyone here have a pet way of removing/refitting the sidestand and it's springs? I have tried the coins/washers trick, didn't work for me, in this case, although I have used that method in other situations
    All the best.

It clips on to the same place as the large spring.
Also i forgot to say that i fitted the stand at the same time as i fitted my Givi Bars, and you get a much longer bolt and sleeve with the kit.
