I have an old 600 done 600+ on french toll roads going to the Stella the 600 was no problem slight wobble above 100mph dropped to 95 hour after hour think the TKC 80s and being loaded caused the mischief

got a 17inch front for it too.. so its easy to make 'flickable' but find the handling ok with the 21 best £1200 i have spent not ridden the 600 +50 or the 600+100 and FI but imagine they are all silght varaitions on a theme,

if you want new you have no choice and there are plenty of addons to tailor to folks needs ..

I got the 600 to do the stella and was then going to punt it and get a big boy bike still got it

    Re: Touring - 650 v 700

I have never riden a 600 or 650 so I can't comment. I have been told by a couple of 650 owners that the 700 is a better ride, and has a bit more go. One thing I can say is the built quality is not what it was. I dont think Honda did themselves any favors having them built in Spain. Main problem rust, spokes changed, forks recoated, mirrors changed (all by Honda) and I have used FS365 and ACF-50 which helps. But I still love my 700 best bike I have riden.

Ha ha! My Varadero came from Ecosse funnily enough!

I work for Gleaner oil and gas but wouldn't say I work in oil, get covered in kerosene daily! LOL!

    Gents

Reading posts, the NE Scotland TA700 club must be the biggest in the country. Roll on the spring for a ride out to upper Deeside, Strathdon and Braemar way - magnificent! I'm sure Billy Connelly waved to me last time... either him or some old tramp...har har

Mine too originated from Ecosse, but I let a previous owner pay for their dealer prices first. Yes, in the oil game, working at Lloyd's contracted to Maersk. Due offshore shortly and if that blinking chopper doesn't lift due to snow again I won't be happy - 8 hours at Bond last time....

    Geroutthereyewusses

    Geroutthereyer wusses . . .

Raymo is forgiven a bit for not getting out & about on 2 two wheels cos he lives in the Arsendofnowhere, near the Back-O-Beyond (whitty-sisum Ray, whitty-sisum ).

Post the ride up on the Scottish section when your ready and we'll all meet up. The cafe at Corgarff would make a great RV
