The bike seems more responsive to throttle and seems to run cleaner and crisper. It also sounds great, especially with the removable baffle out, it doesn't seem too loud though. I will post pictures when I have more time.

Re: Fuel Exhausts

HI I have a 99 transalp 600 with a wing-rack fitted for Givi panniers. I was wondering if anyone has fitted one of these exhausts with this set-up as there does not look to be a lot of room for it . thanks transalf.

Re: Fuel Exhausts

I was a bit worried myself as my 2000 XL650V-Y ex police is fitted with a Honda rack, but it all fits in perfect, though I had to make up a plate to drop the main bracket by 1.5cm, the fuel exhaust cans are quite compact and being oval there is probably more clearance than with the standard exhaust setup. I will post pics when we get a bit better weather but there is a picture on the Fuel Exhaust Website showing an Alp with a rack.

I had a run between sleet showers with the baffle out. It's not too loud, no frightened grannies jumping away from the kerb, no stampeding horses or attention from the law. It just has a lovely deep note.

Re: Fuel Exhausts

Piccies as promised. Took them in the garage last night.

Yes I know it's still white, I am going to paint it R-255M red and fit new logos etc from David Silvers when the weather and temperature improve. Should they be clear coated? I read somewhere that the Honda originals were put on over the clear coats.

Re: Fuel Exhausts

The exhaust fits like a glove..

Your Pannier Frames look the *Business* very heavy duty ,, what make are they.?

R-255M red will look great .. I am not sure about the clear coat over the logos.
But on my TA the stickers are above the clear coat..

Someone with more spraying knowledge will be along soon Iam sure, to give you the pros and cons.
