Change of exhaust can

I have a Honda Transalp XL650V 57 reg and I have the original rear exhaust can. I am thinking of changing this. Can anyone recommend a good rear can to fit and if so can you let me know the supplier and the approx cost? Also has this made any improvement tp the bike? I have already removed the catalyst.

Here's one link to get you started -

Fuel Exhausts

There's been plenty written about changing end cans on here. A quick play with the "Search" tool will bring up plenty of information.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Re: Change of exhaust can

i got a arrow one on my old transalp 650, very well made, good quality and was much lighter then standard.
over all made the bike more free reving and felt much smoother.
had a removable baffle, which when installed was just slightly more grunty then standard, and when removed sounded nice and grunty yet not that loud!
cost £200 i think

I agree with running biker, I just fitted one as well. £124 from Fuel Exhausts, look good, sound great, less weight and the bike feels pokier.

Very nice stuff there, even for a 600!!!!!!!!!! Just need to rob a bank

For a 700 the BOS exhaust is stunning and sounds sweet

Sorry to butt in...!

My name is Louise (from Fuel Exhausts) and we are looking to manufacture for the recent Transalp XL700 but do not have a bike to work on. If anyone lives in the Kendal area and would be interested in lending us their bike for 1-2 days (maximum) in exchange for a free stainless steel exhaust then please contact us on here. Alternatively you can email louise@fuelexhausts.com or you can phone the office on 01539 738333 during weekday working hours.

Hopefully we can help you to help us! If you know what I mean!

Butting out now....! Thanks.
