    xl650v cold engine knocks

I know that transalp engine is noisy especially when cold, but here is strange thing which I noticed on my transalp:
When engine is cold and running idle (i didnt notice if it happens when driving with cold engine), it knocks 2-4 times before it gets to proper temperature. - its like engine wants to stop for 1/10 second and then continues to work.
When engine is warm its working good.
Do I need to start to worry?

This knocking was also in summer i think. Oil is 10w40 semi synthetic motorex. Tickover is set to 1200rpm, but that is when engine is warm. When cold it drops lower and I need to pull choke or adjust rpm with throttle.
This knocking happens just few times during warm up.

It sounds like you are not keeping the revs high enough on initial start up, sounds like its trying to stall. You need to use the choke a little longer or be riding the bike without any high revs which is the best way to warm an engine.

I would say the chokes are not working evenly.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Good point about chokes. One cyl works well and other stops and knock is heard? So it seems that carbs need cleaning and balancing?
