Any 650 alp owners near southampton-help!!

right now I`ve got your attention

did a service 3 weeks ago and fitted new plugs[4] and pipercross filter and removed airbox snorkel and made 2 15mm holes in front of Airbox.

now getting 57-59mpg on the motorway at 65mph but have developed a vibe at aroung 4-4.5k in the rev range, bike pulls like a train at 5k .

NOW before I reattach all the moded bits or attempt to balance carbs , thought if anyone could meet me at the weekend on their bike we could swap to see if either bike is smother, or ride mine BUT DONT DROP IT .

    what do you all think

I would think that with all the monkeying about with the airbox that your next job would be to balance the carbs. It doesn't take long and the benefits can be dramatic.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    I agree with lutin,
When I changed my filter I had to balance the carbs to allow for the better volume of air they got.
I did not modify the air box as the filter is freer breathing.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    cheers, squire

would like to get it done asap as its giving me a numb right hand after only 30mins ride , somewhere nearer would be best.

will give me local mechanic a call and see what he wants to do the job, but could prob buy a twin balancer for the same money and do the job myself.
