Smile Kudos for Honda South Africa

Thought I would share what I consider great customer service. After about 1200 kms I noticed that my Transalp would shake its head slightly between about 60 and 100kmh if the bars were held lightly. I took the bike to an independent tyre fitter for balancing. The problem remained, so they advised me to take it to the dealer to sort out under guarantee. The Cape Town dealer checked that all adjustments were within specification and thought that I should contact Honda South Africa to see whether they would authorize a tyre change or not. Honda South Africa authorized the tyre change at no charge to me as they considered the wear to be negligible. A Bridgestone has been fitted and the shake has disappeared.
Thanks to Shaun James at Honda SA and Paul Fox from the Cape Town dealer.
A lot of motor companies would have dismissed the claim as “ within specification”. I’m impressed.

Another post regarding the fact that tyres are the cause of instability.
About time they fitted decent tyres as standard.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
