Many engine bars have a bolt space for this purpose. I've been meaning to post this pic for a while for the member who had fitted one broken down a while ago who inspired me to get one.
They're so much fun

They fit in rather well with the general components of the bike, here's a close up for those who cannot spot it
Fits under my knee and the 'blowers'are free to do their work. The bars are SWMotech![]()
XL700VA My first bike
Just seen these images - horn looks ok clamped there....any side images to show how it sticks out?
Also..hijak here but do you have the own lights with independant bars on? If so, how did you fit the lights...I ask because we couldnt find a way to attach the lights on my Givi bars as they only seem to work when attached to the Honda bars which wouldnt fit along with the Givi's.
TA700 2010 - Givi full set, Centre Stand, Scotoiller with LubeTube, Honda Tall Screen, Givi Crashbars, OEM Heated Grips, Fenda Extenda, Bar Risers, SSteel Spokes, Arrow Race-Tech DarkLine Exhaust, even bigger smile!!
TLD 2010 - 600 miles, 18 hours travelling, 4 hours sleep and no pint of guinness!! Must go back for that....
A less hassle option is the Stebel Magnum (TM80).
Only slightly quieter at 112dB (to the Nautilus 115) and only one tone, but still a real head turner when someone gets too close and just a case of unbolt old, bolt on new and connect the original blade connectors.
Mine presently on my Ural for those who feel that "slow" = "acceptable to overtake then cut-up really badly instead of waiting behind me for another 6 seconds"
I've had mine on two bikes now and it is still bursting eardrums after 5 years of use and several very cold winters.

Out of interest, who's cheapest on the Stebel front in the UK?
Whilst my Ural might be sorted my TA's horn sounds like muted duck flatulence and does not instill the respect and fear I feel my TA so richly deserves.
Actually that Magnum sounds more like it, dont want to deafen myself or even scare myself when I accidentally hit it while moving the bike. More compact too.

The problem I found (on a PanEuropean) wasn't where to fit it but where to fit it the right way up. The instructions tell you it should only be 15 degrees from vertical but Dogmatick seems to have ignored that and it still works. I have to say, I didn't really see why it wouldn't.
Also, I seem to be the only person who doesn't think it's that loud. It's loud alright, but not cause-a-white-van-to-avoid-pulling-out loud.
1997 Jag 3.2 Exec (jangly jangly!); two bicycles; 2001 XL 650 V-1 which is ready for anything, cuts through traffic like a hot knife through butter and just gets better and betterand a low mileage Pan European ST1100
I have the Magnum fitted to the 600 TA certainly gets the attention of the phone talking prats who step out in front of me.
I have a You tube vid somewhere of standard Vs Magnum if you like?
