Only joking. I tend to use the bike all year around for the commute to work but that’s more due to being bad parking where I work and I must admit if the roads are very icy or covered in snow I use the car. Odd thing is since i use the bike everyday for work i enjoy using the car more on days off am i weird?
No, not weird. I do over 200 miles a week commuting so I get my biking fix and dont need to go riding at weekends etc. Not that I would have time anyway....!

I do not use the bike for commuting as I get free travel on buses and the route at the end of my road runs back to my garage. I do go out on the bike if it is cold and I do go out when it is wet I just do not go out when it is cold and wet, for fear of the ice giants.

    Re: Fair weather rider

I'm not normally a fair weather biker, but this winter has made me re-think. I've not really been out properly on the bike for months. Now that I work only about 2 miles from home, I've been bicycling to and from work most days (even in the snow..) and I've just not wanted to get the Alp all salty - so I've been keeping it under wraps, and building up a bit of fitness instead.

Just hoping for some decent rain to wash the salt off the roads, and then a bit of warmer weather...

All year round, frozen hands, nads and feet, but when the cars are all queing up on my 70 mile a day round trip, that makes it all worth while. My son does the oppersit journey on his bike as well.

Got stranded in marlborough this january in the ruddy snow. Only stranded as my disc lock froze(!) and took me, a mechanic and a big fiery sparky thing hours to cut the bugger off
