A plus one sprocket at Wemoto is £14.10, if it can produce a 20% increase in mileage then that about 4 to 5 tank fulls and its paid for.

I know you're supposed to replace chain, sprocket and chainwheel but would there be much to loose from just doing the drive sprocket?

Perhaps I'll start with the filtre and see if that makes a difference before putting another cog on!
That's what I'm doing! Have one sitting in the hall waiting for a spare day to fit, what with all the fairing and tank removal, and me being a DIY spaz!

    About £35 inc p+p.
Gonna do the sprockets (you can also get the small one with an extra tooth) when my chain needs replacing, prob not before as I like to do it all together.
Took an f800 gs for a test ride the other day and wound it up to 95mph and the computor said it was still doing just 59 mpg. Thats just wrong! Good luck with the filter.

Does anyone know if changing the front sprocket for a bigger one (+1) would invalidate my warranty ('09 700)?
