Transalp 600 restoration story

I finally took the plunge and bought a Transalp

It's a '96 600 and the owner clearly loved it. Mechanically it is sound (I hope) but I'm not much of a mechanic and will entrust that side of it to a garage.

However it is looking a little frayed around the edges and I have decided to do what I can to make it (look) a bit more loved.

Rather than post on here non stop, I have started a blog to catalogue the disasters, er, I mean progress.

I will be on here non-stop for advice and will link wherever possible but have a look at transalpresto.blogspot.com and offer any words of wisdom or encouragement.

The next post is about getting a sheared bolt out, which took me about three hours' work and two trips to the tool shop. It's going to be a long project...
