Hi all,
Does anyone know where to get them for transalp 2001 650? I know that the number of links also can differ from the original set.
tried to search ebay but probably did not use a good search term.
cheers

2001 Transalp XLV650. Faithful old friend still chugging away nearly 100,00miles
2007 Varadero XLV1000. Now you're torquing but sadly gone to another forum member. One of the best bikes - period.
Yamaha XT660r - slowly getting it ready for some big adventures
It is possible to get the 16 tooth front sprocket from Honda.
So depending on the size of the rear, look for kits to fit the XRV 650
Ok, but would a 16 teeth sprocket and a standard chain fit or would it be too short? I know there is some adjustment, but is the adjustment enough to take that extra tooth?
regards
If you are reducing the rear sprocket size by one tooth then it should fit as standard.
I only changed the front sprocket and found a standard chain was too tight, I have done over 3000 miles and it still does not need adjustment, it is still with the wheel as far forward as it will go.

I run a 16 front and various rears ranging from a 48 standard to a 45 I had made and all with a standard gold x-ring DID chain, never had any problems. Clearance to the case saver has to be modified but that's only with a Honda front sprocket.
so u have used the 16 front with the standard 118 links chain?
yep
