Handguards

Hi all, can anyone recommend any aftermarket handguards for my '98 alp?, mine came without and Mr Honda wants £65 for a standard set.

Re: Handguards

Might be worth considering what use they are put to ---- the standard ones on my 650 would'nt brush much out of the way when off road but they are really good at keeping cold air off the hands, had some narrower ones on another bike at more than £65 very strong but no thermal protection at all.

Re: Handguards

Mainly used for thermal protection as my Alp very rarely travels off road, mainly the odd gravel track.

I don't suppose you know if they will fit a '98 Alp?

Re: Handguards

secondhand gs ones fit the alp and the twin and will do both jobs. I have ascerbis with extra wind guards and never had any problems with cold pinkys but then again I have heated grips.

I don't know Lefty but I've heard of them being fitted on allsorts of different bikes with minor mods. You may need bar ends fitted as I think that's what restrains the outside of the guard.
