Welcome to the newest member to the Alp squadron

Won't say who he is as he will be along to introduce you to a very nice little find as soon as he has taken a gratuitous amount of pictures.

I am a little jealous actually, she's a peach and I let her slip through my fingertips, still she's got a good new home and will be spoilt rotten.

Re: Welcome to the newest member to the Alp squadron

    It's very very shiny

It's a 2000 XL650VY in metallic black (says grey on the logbook) and it has done just over 6000 miles all backed up by history and MOT's. The engine is really sweet

It's got original everything - even the tyres - and the front one still has knobbles on the outer edges! So first on the shopping list is a decent set of rubber. I was instinctively going to get a set of TKC's on it but realistically I'm probably going to keep it mostly on tarmac until I've got some decent crash bars hence I'm considering going for a set of Anakees for now.

Next is a complete end to end healthcheck to grease everything that should be greased and replace all the fluids. It needs its carb rubbers replacing as they've gone hard so I'll get that sorted soon too.

I have no photos yet 'cos it's safely tucked up in the nice warm garage out of the pissing rain.

Thanks to BTBloke for checking it out for me and not pinching it for himself
XL650VY - TKC80's, Mivv Suono "silencer", Arrow Headers, PAIR system removed, 125 mains, Renthal 677 bars, MRA Vario Screen, Scottoiler, Honda Main Stand, Daytona Heated Grips, Sparkbright Charge Monitor
