    Seized Transalp

My Transalp just seized. Its with a mechanic now who managed to get it going but after a while it just stops again. On the hunt now for a engine.Still trying to decide if its worth putting an engine in or selling parts of bike as its a 1999 model.

    Re: Seized Transalp

Apart from the fact it's virtually unheard of for one to seize, what were the symptoms?
It's worth looking around, there are a few 600's on ebay at the moment being broken, you'll be able to pick one up and fitting is not an impossible task.

Pray tell, How did you manage to seize the engine?
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Lack of oil !!! I know I should have checked the oil and not just wait for the oil light to come on...Still trying to weigh up if its worth spending the money on the bike as its a 1999 model. Mechanic wants about £500 to fit. !!!! Im not that technical minded to fit it myself.. reminds me off that joke about 710...

I seized my first bike, a 49cc chinese moped...
I broke it up for parts and sold it on eBay.

Look at the ones up on bay and break yours, sell it as parts, you might get your money back.
