    Question Fuel exhaust baffle?

Took the baffle out of my Fuel exhaust today on my TA 650 went for a good long ride and apart from it sounding awesome the bike appeared to have more grunt is this possible or am i dreaming?Ive been told its something to do with back pressures which gives the bike slightly more HP.Confused.

    Re: Fuel exhaust baffle?

I run my Fuel with no baffle as well , it definitly sounds better. I BELEIEVE it gives a better mid range , but i could be talking rubbish. Bottom line i believe it sounds much , much better.
Have a look at my video .. for a comparison of notes from the exhausts , including the fuel with and without baffle.

You can get them from eBay
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Re: Fuel exhaust baffle?

Good Question , only answer i can give you is 'maybe'
I installed mine , then ran to France with wifey and the Honda standard rack and panniers.
I refitted the fuel can three times , the night before we left ,
and with all the adjustment i could get (there is quite a large amount of adjustment, due to it being a separate link pipe and end can) I only cleared the inside of the pannier frame by a nano millimeter.
When I returned from france a small amount of powder coat has been worn/melted from the 5 mil spot on the inside of the pannier rack where the exhaust 'might' have touched.

Does it do for me , HECK YES
Am I bothered by the miniscule amount of missing powder coat , HECK NO.
