    Oh dear, the fuel consumption's not that good.
    45-50 mpg is about average.

    Service costs ? sorry, don't understand the question. Would never let a dealer near my bike. In 19,000 miles over the past 18 months my bike's had a new air filter at 12,000 miles (£30), a set of plugs (4) every 8,000 miles and 7 oil filters (£7). That's it, nothing else.

    The 'Alp is the faster bike (and smoother) due to the V-twin.

    Met a bloke who has had 3 transalps on the trot. Two F650s at work build quality is not very good. Plus the TA is better looking.

    Also I had one once,
