    TA Chain

Decided to bung new chain and sprockets on the TA... old chain was ropey and rear sprocket. Went to shop down road and he wanted £114 for a DID X ring....... which seemed fairly pricey to me
Found this on e bay and wondered whats the differance??

    Re: TA Chain

    hi phil..

that chain will be fine ..infact I have one on my ta650 as long as its 525 x ring by 118 length..the colour is black so no gold protection but at a huge saving and a good coat of lube you wont notice the difference except the pocket..

prices vary wildly so shop around..just get a soft rivet link not the slip on type..personal preference really....

I got a DID X-Ring chain and sprockets from Busters on eBay for my 650 for just over £70 delivered. If your rear sprocket isn't looking too good, they could be a good choice (along with a Honda genuine front).

Yep, this is what I did for the recently acquired 600 & bought a 16t Honda front

    Re: TA Chain

I only need the chain as I got a 47 jt rear off e bay for £13. I ordered a gen front as if I was doing chain and rear I guessed it would be silly not to have a new front also... I forgot to take into account however that they are pricey!!! I got a 15t but maybe will wish I had the @ rd03 16t. So bottom line is only now need to get a chain.... I just wondered if the link I put up was an X ring or some cheap alternative with the VX prefix
    Cheers for the advice though
