Well after a long wait ive finally managed to sort a test ride out on a transalp and maybe a varadero 4 this wednesday. so it could soon be bye bye cbr hello transalp.

My advice... try a TDM900 too.
Do you say try a TDM because of the extra power?because i tried a TDM a few weeks ago, wasn't that impressed. seemed very jerky engine wise (that could have been me not being used to a v twin tho) and light on the front. To be fair it was a few years old and needed a service.
The new TDM 900...![]()
EFI, same 190kg as the TA 650 (less 20kg than the TDM850), lower gravitacional centre, smoth, extra power and torque...
If I'll trade my Transalp it will be a TDM 900, and no Varadero or similar fat bikes...![]()
Yeah, I agree, the TDM definitely looks like a nice bike, bit lower than the TA too....Originally Posted by Falp
Yeah but....I dunno - the riding position just doesn't feel right to me, seriously. I'm sure it's because I've been blessed with the physique of a circus side-show freak, but I find that the TDM has me leaning ever so slightly, but ever so annoyingly, forward on to my wrists.
Sure it could be easily sorted if it's not something you could get used to...
The TA isn't quite right either! and I still can't reach the ground even after lowering everything! 'spose there ain't a perfect motorsickle for everyone.... maybe we should run away and join the circus then! Wall of death anyone?
Must be a west coast thing - short legs make it harder for Atlantic Gales to blow us over!Originally Posted by ChrisHXS
