Review: Sam Manicom - Under Asian Skies

Well after the success of reading Sam Manicom's last book I set out to read his new book "Under Asian Skies" with great expectations. I have to say I really wasn't disappointed at all.

It was the same great style as last time, but possibly slightly richer as his writing style had developed from his last book. The colour photo's added an excellent dimension, although a map really would have been useful as I found myself wanting to understand exactly where Sam was when I was reading.

The book continues on directly from his last book and his adventures travelling from Australia to Germany. It gave another excellent insight in to the wonderful people that Sam met along his journey, the high's and low's of the journey, illnesses, crashes and with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure! I found this book even more engaging than the last and read it through end to end in about 5 days flat! I was on holiday though!
As per my last review if you are doing any travelling or planning to then this is a must read, learn from Sam's mistakes, someone ought to, as he learnt the hard way on many occasions!!!!
.... and if I ever announce that I'm going travelling please someone shoot me!

To buy this book you can order it from Sam's website directly....

Sam is having a launch of this book at CW Motorcycles in Dorchester Saturday 3rd November, please do support him.

    Yea right!
A little off the topic, but if anyone is thinking of coming over here to south east Asia, I have a couple of ("biker friendly") beach resorts, in central Philippines. UKP8.50/room/night includes tax. Hope to see some of you here, sometime. Petrol at 43 pence a litre, beer at 4.45 pounds a case(24 bottles of San Miguel, not a bad brew either!), can't go wrong really.
