    2 weeks to go...

Hi all, 2 weeks until we go 2up around Ireland (dublin to dublin - anticlockwise).
I've got all the b&b and hostels booked, bikes almost ready, new tyres and a service due on Saturday, luggage on, satnav set up, im just worried that im missing summet?

This is the first holiday we've done (other than a few days) and i'd like any advice you can give?

Im looking to do 3 - 4 hours riding a day for 2.5 weeks, i've no idea how many miles it's gonna be, im guessing 1500 ish ?

Honestly if you can give any advice reflecting on your first long trips it'd be a great help !

The general rule seems to be "take twice as much money as planned and half as many clothes".

No matter how long or how far I go, I always run out of money and bring unworn clothes home.

Enjoy it. Stop lots and take in the views, the great people and the Guinness. Take lots of photos.

Ride to the ends of roads and then get off and walk a bit - often there is something to see just beyond where the road stops.

Oh and did I mention to enjoy it? - important not to get so wrapped up in planning, execution and recording it all on film and camera that you forget to enjoy yourself.
