    Off roading in Portugal

I'd planned to go to Morocco, but as my wife was accompanying me, she wasn't too happy about spending so much time in a support vehicle.
So, earlier this year I went off roading in Portugal, with Enduro Republic. My wife came, but she stayed in the village, relaxing.
How good was this trip? I went back again in September! I don't care what level of rider you are, David your guide, host, friend can find ways of testing you. If you don't want to be tested, then there are plenty of nice easy trails if you prefer. Check out some of my pics at http://jasonbourne.jalbum.net/portugal/
It's put me off Morocco a little bit because it was absolutely fantastic
Give it a bash, I have no link with the company, except having some of the best days in my life

Glad you had a good time XRDave gets on here frequently and I have looked at his site, also looked at other in Spain and would love to do it, but would like to go with a couple of mates and no one wants to have a go, or funds dont allow. But its something I intend on doing once before i get to old and stiff

I'd love to give it a go but have been put off by the very high prices in the UK. Which company did you use?

    I went with www.endurorepublic.com
A couple of you say it's expensive, but I've done a couple of off road days with Yamaha Schools. They were fantastic, but in Portugal, you get to ride virtually all day. I don't know of anywhere in England you could ride that much.
Believe me, only your body is stopping you.
It is worth every penny. I did more off road riding in the first four days and the second three days than I've done in total in England and I've ridden a lot!
Get your wallets out, I've been back two months and I'm having to see a doctor to remove the permanent grin from my face
Every time I get on my Dommie here, I think I'm back in Portugal

Thanks, John for that glowing testimony, totally unsolicited I might add. Actually on John's return visit he was twice the rider, the only man this year to have got up the sandy hill of doom.
We're lucky to have lots of great trails on the doorstep and no restrictions on riding. Did I mention cheap beer and wine? Seriously, if there was enough interest I'd be happy to do a special XRV price.
Here's what we like doing -

Not this morning you wouldn't!! Brrrrr...

Looks a stonking place to ride. I am very jealous as I had to abandon my hopes of trail riding in the Asturias in N. Spain this Autumn. Your trip looks great.
