IX Africa Twin Italia International Rally
Umbria, 30th April-3rd May 2009

The Moto Club Africa Twin Italia is pleased to invite club members and friends to the IX International Africa Twin Motorcycle Rally which will be held in the region of Umbria from the 30th of April to the 3rd of May 2009.
We will be based in the small medieval village of Titignano (www.titignano.com), which will be at our disposal.
A fascinating and delightful location, due to its structure and elevated position which dominates the lake of Corbara and that will allow us to be immersed in a suggestive and romantic atmosphere.
The historical origins of the village go back to the year 937, when the Castle of Titignano was built.
Successively, between the XVI and XVII century, it was transformed into a big palace with a tiny village which currently constitutes its court.



As usual, two options will be offered: tarmac and off road.

Tarmac Group: the route will unravel amidst the marvellous landscapes that are offered by the region of Umbria, without leaving out the tourism part of the trip: we will visit quite interesting places.

Off Road Group: we’ll tackle medium difficult routes which will take us through woods along superb dirt tracks and we’ll ride along panoramic trails on the hills of Umbria, to absorb the gorgeous scenery.
It is absolutely mandatory to have specific off road equipment: crash helmet, boots, and protective gear, as well as off road tires and spare tubes.


PARTICIPATION FEES
The fee is 250 Euro for Club members and 270 Euro for non Africa Twin Italia Club members and includes:
- 3 nights in either double, triple or four bed rooms (single bed rooms might be available at extra cost but only on request and after the closing of the entries).
- Half board treatment
- Gadget of the meeting
The available places are a total of 110

HOW TO JOIN
Entries are accepted from the 7th of December ’08 and will close on the 28th of March 2009, unless the total quota of 110 participants is reached earlier.
The entry is only valid with an initial booking fee of 70 Euro per person which is required for the accommodation; your entry will be valid after payment of the initial booking fee.
The rest of the payment must be done no later than the 10th April 2009: this is required due to organizational necessities.

Staying in a hotel sounds just perfect for me.

Annette & I have already pencilled this in, as we missed last years due to unforseen circumstances - so we'll definitely be doing this one.

Exactly - it's North of the Southern Coast of the Med so I'm still covered
