R O Ireland july 09

After long consideration Mrs Frad and I have changed our minds from Scotland and the Outer Hebredies to Southern Ireland.

We will catch the ferry from Hollyhead to Dun Laogharie, heading south and staying near Arklow, then to Wexford, Cork, Killarney, Limerick and Back to Dublin.

Does anyone have any 'must do's' and 'must see's' reccomendations on pubs food BnBs ???

We are going for 10 days mid july.

I have planned about 100 miles between overnight stops which will give plenty of time for sightseeing, lunch etc

Any help appreciated

Hi Frad

Shame you are not coming West. But, then again, we'll be heading for France for the last two weeks in July. Hopefully.

Anyway, have a gander at XRV Ireland - http://www.xrvireland.org/index.php

Dropping a post on there might see some suggestions from folks in the areas you want to visit. Some of the members frequent both sites too, that one and this one.

Drink Guinness - in moderation only, of course.

See Brewery - still not got around to doing this - only been here 5 years (nearly).

Cheers Tony, We went to Morans on the Weir nr Galway a few years back and the wife says we must go again

we would go up from Limerick if you are around we could meet up but if you off to France maybe not see how dates work out.

Re: R O Ireland july 09

west of ireland is a much better trip ,if it was me ,and i was limited to a time scale
i would head straight for cork via motorways on day 1
then spend the rest of my time heading north along the west coast taking in the ring of kerry ,cliffs of moher ,and connemara
a few other places cant think of right now
