Storing bike around the world

My job gives me 3 to 4 weeks off every couple of months. I want to do some extensive touring, but only 2 to 3 weeks at a time, storing the bike and gear while I go back to work. Ideally the storage would be near an airport to save travel time to and from the bike. Anyone got any experience of this?

I would be very apprehensive about leaving my bike in some Airport Carpark facility. You might come back and find the bike had been used and or abused

Exactly, GFG. I was really wondering about locked storage facilities...

Hi Wink
If you,re down our way SW France and need to leave the bike we,ve a big garage and i could run you to 1 of 4 airports (limoges, rodez, toulouse or bergerac)all about 1hr 30min away

Wink, I would try posting on http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ using the community link for the country you have in mind. You'll probably get lots of reponses. I'm currently storing a GS Adventure for an American bloke who contacted me in this way. Most people will probably throw in a bit of free accommodation as well.
