    What a surprise..

I was astonished to meet a swedish guy on a GS1200 in Sana'a Yemen as he came all the way from Sweden riding alone like a ghost.

Adventures are fun when in groups or at least with a partner. Any one with such an exerience alone??

I'm reading Adrian Scotts book, The road gets better from here. It's an incredible story and he was alone riding but met so many different people on the way it did make me a little envious.

I'd be afraid I would miss my family too much

I did Manila-Banaue Rice terraces round trip last year after I got my KTM, about 1000kms, then Manila to home, 4 islands, 3 ferries and 890kms by myself. I know it's chickenfeed compared to these guys, but at least I found out what I could still manage at my age. I love the Dakar videos and wish ill health and old age hadn't rushed up so suddenly! I'd give my left nut, even the right one to do that!
